Discovering the depths of the ocean has always been an enchantment to mankind. Below the waters lies a world as rich and diverse as our own above the surface. Through this studies and technology that scuba diving and scuba diving equipment eventually developed. The term “scuba” started as an acronym, Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, during World War II when it was developed for underwater warfare.

Modern scuba sets can either be open-circuit sets or closed-circuit sets.
Open-circuit sets allow the diver to breathe in from the set and clear the exhaled gas into the surrounding water. The closed-circuit set, also known as a re-breather allows the diver to breathe in and to exhale into the set again where the air is being reprocessed.
